Lacprodan® BLG-100 is recognized as a new resource food

On December 21, 2022, Arla Foods Ingredients has received final authorization from the European Commission (EC) for its beta-lactoglobulin ingredient Lacprodan® BLG-100 . This authorization demonstrates that Lacprodan® BLG-100 is safe and suitable for use in food in the European Union. The ingredient is suitable for a variety of applications in sports nutrition and Foods for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP).

Lacprodan® BLG-100 is the first product from Arla Foods Ingredients to receive approval under the Novel Food Regulation (EU) 2015/2283.
